
Program Description
Build the foundation that carries you further with Northwest Athletics (NWA) Groundwork, an in-studio youth athletic development program designed for athletes from 6th grade through college level. Each 60-minute session moves through age-appropriate strength training, proper lifting technique, mobility work, and sport-specific conditioning — building the physical confidence and mental resilience your athlete needs both on and off the field. Whether your athlete is brand new to structured training or sharpening what they already have, our coaches provide hands-on guidance tailored to every age and development tier. Show up, do the work, and build something that lasts well beyond any season!
2026 Summer Session Details
NWA Groundwork runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, beginning the week of July 6th and wrapping up September 4th. The program is structured as three consecutive three-week sprints, giving athletes the option to join for one sprint or commit to the full summer. We understand that life happens. Should your athlete need to miss a session, up to 2 makeup sessions are permitted per sprint with a valid doctor's note or at the discretion of ownership. All makeups must be scheduled and completed no later than September 4th.

Origin Story
This didn't start as a business. It started as a lesson.
Brandon — a football athlete — and his wife, Brittany, who played tennis, grew up in Philadelphia surrounded by communities that cared and coaches who showed up. The love was never the question.
What was missing wasn't the intention — it was the information. The guidance available to young athletes then hadn't kept pace with what was being asked of their bodies. The training methods were outdated. The demands were not.
Both of them eventually felt that gap. Years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice — and college careers that ended sooner than they should have. Injuries that proper training and body knowledge could have prevented.
NWA is their answer to that gap.
NWA Groundwork exists because of that lesson — a program built to give young athletes the foundation they deserve. Proper technique. Intentional movement. The physical confidence and mental resilience that outlasts every season, every roster, every finish line.
Because the destination was never just the scholarship. It was always a life lived strong.
